Follow Up with Alpha

For explorers who are seeking to know more about God and are keen to chat further, we train responders to foster a sense of curiosity in conversation, as they respond to explorers, it can lead explorers to wanting to know more and to have more questions.

Explorers often have pre-conceived ideas of God that may not be accurate and its good to be able to hear their thoughts and show them Jesus in a way they may not of heard. For instance, many explorers may think God is a distant and angry God who isn’t interested in their struggles. When we share how Jesus was a guy who turned water into wine at parties and also was a guy who kicked up a storm in churches because leaders were being selfish and greedy, it can challenge their views of God and create intrigue.

For explorers who want to go further and know more about God, we often will link them with an Alpha group. Alpha can be an ideal setting for people, and because it is also offered online that can be ideal, especially for those who are anxious or don’t have the time to travel to a destination or have dependents that they need to care for. It helps create a space where people are excited to bring their friends for a conversation about Jesus. Alpha is designed to take guests on a journey of faith over multiple weeks. Each session covers a key element of the gospel in a way that is easy to follow and leaves space for people to explore their questions about life, faith, and meaning. If you would like to facilitate an online Alpha course for a small number of explorers from Why God please let us know.
