Have You Ever Heard of or Tried to Speak to the Unknown God?
I’ve just returned from Athens. I was there for a conference with my work at CV (Christian Vision). It was a fantastic time connecting and looking forward to the next five years ahead. I spent a few days extra to look around Athens with my work colleague Tish and my dear friend Evelyne who had come over from Switzerland to join us (we hadn’t seen each other for 8 years). On my last day there I went up to Mars Hill with my friend Evelyne. It felt surreal to be speaking out Acts 17:22-34 on the very hill where Paul spoke to the men of Athens.
It got me thinking about all the people we speak to on Why God.
While many of the people we chat with may not be philosophers, they are seeking among many gods to find hope and purpose.
Like Paul, we often find ourselves opening conversation so that people might be able to relate in some way to the God that they do not yet know. Or for some, it’s a God that is not understood and has therefore brought much disappointment.
Please continue to pray with us and get involved so that you can also be instrumental in helping people discover the living God for themselves.
