It Pays to Be Patient and Allow People to Navigate at God’s Speed

You never know what you’re going to get when someone says hello for the first time. We may think we know the direction to take but it’s not until you start moving forward with that person that you will know what course to take and how to adjust the conversation.

Planning our wedding has been fun, we’ve had a few ideas in our head of what we think we want the day to look like. It’s not until we’ve talked to people that we realise what we think we want is not actually the direction we want to take.

Robin and I had dinner with our friends. They have lots of experience with wedding planning and events so we thought it would be a good idea to get some tips. We are so pleased we did. As we shared the different thoughts we had on our mind, as we talked and as questions were asked we started getting clarity on the direction we were to take. It was different to what we first had in our heads. We’ve not consulted with our friends since. What they had to say to us set us up, we haven’t gone with everything they suggested but the tips certainly helped us to make some good choices.

As the days have unfolded we have adjusted course, asking God for direction as we go. We have seen God’s hand guide us, adjust our course and give us good surprises we hadn’t even been able to imagine ourselves.

That’s what it’s like when people come into our social platforms to say hi. We listen and ask questions and they make choices. Sometimes it’s easy to get disappointed with the choices people make. We need to continually adjust to their circumstances and ask questions so they can navigate the course.

Our online training is now live and we are so excited to have our first few response team members go through this. Would you consider joining our team?
