Your Impact From One Decision Can Have Huge Ripple Effects

I met Lorraine at church several years back. We got talking and I discovered that every day she sends out a journal (or a daily devotional) to a group of people via text message or email. The last time I spoke to her that group had grown to 130 people. I’m one of those people, I forward it on to 10 people, and some forward that on also.

Your impact from one decision can have huge ripple effects.

In one of the journals this month, the Bible verse referred to was:

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Rise early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me, for at this time I will send all My plagues to your very heart, and on your servants and on your people, that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth. Exodus 9:13-14

Lorraine goes on to share how even though there are plagues Pharaoh doesn’t change. She went on to write something further related to Pharaoh which jumped out at me; “His refusal to God affects other lives too”.

Don’t underestimate the power of your decisions. We can often look at the big decisions in our lives but forget that our small everyday actions matter. I’m praying your decisions will influence and affect many around you for good. Keep faithful in the big and the small, there are people watching even if they don’t appear to be.
