Be Grateful for the People in Your Life

I was in a store the other day; I went in because I felt that God said he had something for me in there. I had no idea what it was, but he told me I would know. When I walked in the door, I started looking at some of the things for sale. It was like a little game where you tell someone if the direction, they are going in is hot, warmer or cold. Then I heard the words

“Beauty is in people, not things”.

Just then a husband and wife walked past me on either side of the stand of items I was looking at, the wife complained that her husband was slow and told him to hurry up. She continued in a strained voice “You’re just wobbling around the store and you’re going so slowly”.

I couldn’t resist! I piped up and said, “You know some people don’t have a husband to go shopping with”. I reckon that you could just enjoy the time you’re having!

We had a little bit of banter, back-and-forth, and I leaned in towards the woman who was now smiling from ear to ear. I said, “I have a number of friends who have just lost their ‘wobble’, “at least you have a wobble”. Be grateful that you have one.

It can be so easy to complain. Talking to this couple reminded me that life is to be enjoyed and to have fun with the people we have around.

As always, I am so grateful for your support and encouragement to see lives changed one conversation at a time. Please continue to pray for our Why God response team and all the private messaging conversations we are having with people on that platform.
