When I Met My Husband 3 Years Ago He Wasn’t Following Jesus

Robin came to church one Sunday morning knowing that he needed to change and knowing that God was his answer, but really, he had no idea how to get there. Several times I heard him say things like “I don’t know if God will accept me, but I’ve come to the conclusion that even if He doesn’t the choice to follow Him is better”.

All I knew when I met Robin was that; this man needs some encouragement and people to stand alongside him and believe in him as he gets to discover what God is like. Never in my wildest imagination would I have thought that three years later I would be marrying him!

Our simple steps of obedience, love, and encouragement changes lives.

I’m always in awe of how God blesses us when we give of our time, finance, skills, love, care, kindness, and more, that we can never outgive God! He pours back blessing beyond measure.

I was reading Psalm 126 this morning and the chapter sums it up,

“…..Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”……Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.
